Hi, I would like to visit alone in March 2017. My plan is to do some fishing. Can shore fishing be done around the island or have to use a boat? How much is the boat for trolling? Any record sized Nile Perch caught recently around your island.

We offer both shore and boat fishing. From the shore you will be able to catch Tilapia, and sometimes a small Nile Perch. From the boat we usually get some 10-20 kg Perches. So we hope you will be the price catching fisherman! We work with Kato who makes a living fishing for Nile Perch and sometimes brings in huge specimens.
Shore fishing is free of charge – provided you bring your own gear. Trawling can be done with our speedboat or in a wooden Sses canoe. I’ll have Deven get in touch with you about the last options. He is in charge of this activity. I only know a fish when it’s on my plate. 🙂
